The Intelligent Design (ID) movement has been of great interest to people following the creation/evolution controversy, sometimes with fanfare and high hopes. In this compact presentation, renowned Bible scholar Dr. John Whitcomb, reviews the shortcomings of this movement from a biblical perspective. The appendices, which are significantly longer in sum than the main text, are:

• an article from Dr. Henry Morris (who along with Dr. Whitcomb co-authored The Genesis Flood)
• an exchange between Morris and ID figure Bill Dembski
• detailed ‘position statements’ on ID by CMI and AIG, respectively

which flesh out Whitcomb’s position considerably.
